8 New Products to Refresh Your Makeup

Mommas, we all know that refreshing our makeup routine is probably the last thing on our to-do list.

This year I’m challenging you to treat yourself a little more.

Makeup is my absolute favorite! It’s my passion. It’s what I go to on happy days and on sad days. I love trying new products and testing new application methods. So I asked my network what some of their favorites were and I decided to try them!

Some are products I’ve used in the past or currently use now. A majority of them you can find at ULTA or Target, and they are all budget friendly.

FOUNDATION

To start, let’s talk about foundation. I’ve gone through several foundations until I found the one that worked best with my skin. For years I’ve struggled with acne. It was so hard for me to find a foundation that didn’t make me break out more and that also covered my acne. I found the best of both worlds with this foundation. I love the glow it gives my skin and how universal it is too. If you’re oily, apply a little powder. If you have dry skin, you can wear out as is.

CONCEALER

Next is concealer. When choosing your concealer for under your eyes, you want to select one that is 2-3 shades lighter than your foundation. It’s really going to help lift your eyes. If you struggle with dark circles, apply a peachy concealer before your brightening concealer. It helps conceal any darkness. 
 
I also apply this concealer down my nose and a little on my forehead. I do contour, but I don’t go crazy with it. This concealer is pretty pigmented so you don’t need much! 
 
Always set your concealer. It will ensure it doesn’t move.

POWDER

I’ve heard a lot of great things about this FitMe powder and let me tell you…I’m obsessed. I grabbed the translucent so I can use it under my eyes as well as all over my face. I wore this for an entire day and it didn’t crease for me!

TRIO PALETTE

I love how this bronzer, blush, and highlight comes in a trio palette. Everything you need is in one palette. I’m all about keeping it simple. I love how it’s magnetic. So when you run out, you just pop another one in. For me, it was hard to find a bronzer that wasn’t patchy on my skin. Also one that had enough pigment. These bronzers and blushes have an extreme amount of pigment. So use them sparingly.  

EYESHADOW

This Morphe eyeshadow palette is my #1 go-to. I use it on a daily basis. I love Morphe palettes because the shadows are great quality for the price. I love how this palette has a good amount of matte shadows and some pretty shimmery shadows. You truly can make the perfect look from this palette. 

MASCARA

I love this mascara! It’s so affordable and is very comparable to Better than Sex mascara. When I asked my network their favorite mascara, this one was the top one everyone recommended. It applies so well, and washes off just as easily! I would definitely say this is a thickening mascara. So if you like a mascara that gives you length, I wouldn’t recommend this one. 

LIP PLUMPER & LIPPIE

Before I start my makeup routine, I always moisturize my face and apply a lip plumper. I’ve found that I love the way it makes my lips look when I go to apply my lipstick. When I was at Target the other day, I grabbed this Milani satin lippie! The application was so so easy! The formula is great too! I love how it applies similar to a gloss, but dries matte.
