Local Finds for Father’s Day
When I wrote this post last year I went digging for options that offered contactless pickup and stocked hand sanitizer or free shipping. It’s like a deep exhale to reread and know that we are not in the same place we were at this time last year. While a lot of things have changed since this time last year, some things haven’t changed a bit, such as having the same great local businesses offering incredible goods and willing to meet you wherever your need is.
When I went to college at the University of Southern Mississippi I remember I kept hearing the word “Coastie” in reference to people from the MS Gulf Coast. As a Louisiana girl, I had never heard that before: flash forward a semester and I met my husband-to-be and the definition of a total Coastie, y’all.
He loves this place, this way of life, and I’ve found that so many of the men here do. There are such few places like this: the outdoors, the people, the businesses, they all make me so proud to live and thrive here on the Coast.
Pouring into our Community
Community is such a big piece of what makes the Gulf Coast an incredible place to live and unfortunately, so many small businesses have been impacted in the last several months. Whether you’re purchasing on behalf of your children for your husband, for your father, or father-in-law, this Father’s Day is such a great opportunity to pour back into our local community that so many of our guys love dearly.
I realize that while we live here, our fathers may not so I have also included special items that can be shipped and some non-coastal living items, too!

If your husband loves to be outside and doesn’t have any Toadfish gear, it’s time to set him up! How fun would it be to pick up a few Brews from Flying Llama and head to a Shucker’s game? The Shucker’s aren’t playing locally on Father’s Day but they do have a game the Sunday before and Tuesday after! Check out their page for tickets.
On Sunday, June 27, they are hosting Family Fun Day.
