April Family Fun Guide

Spring is here and it’s time to head out and enjoy this beautiful weather. We’ve gathered some of our favorite events (and egg hunts) for your family to enjoy.


FRIDAY, APRIL 1

The lion king kids at Lynn meadows Discovery center

  • Show Times: Friday, April 1 at 7:30 PM; Saturday, April 2 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, April 3 at 2 PM. The Lion King Kids showing at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center in Gulfport. Tickets $15 per person.

SATURDAY, APRIL 2

Gulf Marine education festival

  • 10 AM – 3 PM: Gulf Marine Education Festival in conjunction with Art in the Pass at War Memorial Park in Pass Christian. Live animal shows and exhibits.
  • 10 AM – 5 PM: Art in the Pass at War Memorial Park in Pass Christian. Enjoy arts, live music and food.

SUNDAY, APRIL 3

  • 10 AM – 5 PM: Art in the Pass at War Memorial Park in Pass Christian. Enjoy arts, live music and food.

THURSDAY, APRIL 7

City of Gulfport easter egg event


SATURDAY, APRIL 9

Kroc Center Easter Event

  • 8 AM – 12 PM: Easter Egg-Stavaganza at Kroc Center in Biloxi.
  • 8 AM – 11 AM: Bunny Brunch in Biloxi. 1 hour time slots. $10/ child and $20/adult. Enjoy pancakes, shrimp and grits and pictures with the Easter bunny.
  • 9 AM – 12 PM: Scout Eco Day at INFINITY Science Center.Scouts will explore activities related to our planet, conservation and care of the environment. This event will feature hands-on activities and special guest presenters.
  • 9 AM – 5 PM: Spring Fling at The Menagerie on Market in Pascagoula.
  • 10 AM – 11:30 AM: Muffins and More with the Easter Bunny at INFINITY Science Center in Pearlington, MS.
  • 10 AM – 2 PM: Easter Egg Hunt at the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Arts Center in Ocean Springs. Bunny visit, bounce house, food truck, Egg Hunt and children’s games.

  • 8 AM – 3 PM: Camp Aqua Spring Day at Mississippi Aquarium in Gulfport. This is a single-day educational experience. Tickets: $67.50/Members and $74.95/Non-Members.

  • 12 PM: Gulf Coast Mom and Storybook Birthdays hosting Encanto Party at The Chapel at Centennial Plaza in Gulfport. Enjoy character appearances from Mirabel and Bruno, sing-a-longs, dancing, crafts, and more!You loved the movie, now relive the wonder of Encanto! Tickets start at $20.
  • 9 AM: Superhero 5K in Bay St. Louis.
  • 10 AM – 12 PM: Earth Day at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center in Gulfport.

Super hero day at Lynn meadows Discovery center

  • 11 AM – 4 PM: National Superhero Day at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center in Gulfport. Stop by the museum dressed as a favorite superhero and try out their super-duper obstacle course outside. You could might even spot a hero or two while you’re here!

Christy is Co-Founder and Owner of Gulf Coast Moms Blog. She was born in Costa Rica and moved to the United States when she was 6 years old. She vividly remembers flying into New Orleans and knew, in the moments to come, her life would change forever. She grew up in Moss Point and moved to Hattiesburg to attend college at Southern Miss, where she received her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She met her love, Matthew, and they have enjoyed married life for 13 years. They live in Long Beach with their precious children, John Salem and Ann-Michael. Prior to co-founding Gulf Coast Moms Blog, she had a successful 10+ year career in higher education administration, where she developed and spear-headed campus-wide student initiatives and events. Christy is now spending her days as a stay-at-home mom and serves her community through several non-profit organizations. She enjoys making Costa Rican tamales, a fresh margarita from El Aguila, annual sister spa day, collecting random owl things (Hootie Hoo to my Chi Omega sisters), words of wisdom from Irish priests and pool days. She is passionate about connecting women and creating a supportive, nurturing community to empower moms.
