Why Gulf Coast Moms Blog?

1

Motherhood is…

Hard. Rewarding. Everything you expected, yet nothing you could have ever anticipated. It’s joy and brokenness. It’s a spectrum of emotion that no one prepares you for. Feeling it all – the good, the bad and the ugly – gives our lives a newfound purpose.  It’s our greatest achievement and we’ve only just begun.

Our goal.

Our goal with Gulf Coast Moms Blog is to create a platform that fosters confident moms. Our focus for the upcoming year is to build a community both online and off. We want to provide the framework that allows you, as a mom, to feel supported, encouraged and educated through our content, events and relationships we hope to establish. We are enthusiastic to foster a community of moms who desire to empower one another.

We are a team, working as one.

As we researched (and researched and researched) anything and everything about motherhood and read stories from other mothers across the US, we knew we had mothers right here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast who have voices that are just as powerful, with stories that are just as impactful.  What better resource than local moms, ready to make a difference?

Gulf Coast Moms Blog is made up of 20+ contributors with an array of different perspectives, beliefs and ages.  We work as a team to bring you, our reader, a variety of content about motherhood.  We have an amazing group of writers, spanning from Pascagoula to Bay St. Louis, that each have a unique perspective and a story to tell. We are proud of our #228mom brigade and can’t wait to share their stories!

We are Gulf Coast.

We are moms who grew up here, live here, work here and play here.  We LOVE our community and our home. We are Coasties through and through.  And we want to bring you information that is fresh and relevant to our area, while providing fun opportunities for moms and children.

Our why? It’s simple…

Women empowering women is powerful. As these women become mothers and empower each other, they can change a community.

Thank you, Gulf Coast moms, for taking this journey with us.  Together, we all can make a difference.
