Take a trip to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum ice skating rink with the family! $13 per person for 90 minutes. Check for dates and times throughout the month of January.


MONDAY, FEBRUARY 1 – FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 12

The Pinta will open for touring until Friday, February 12. The ship, a replica of one of Columbus’ famous ships, will be docked at Biloxi Schooner Pier.

While in port, the general public is invited to visit the ship for a walk-aboard, self guided tour. Admission is $6.50 for adults, $5 for students (5-17). Children 4 and under are free. Open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM.


SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 6

For the love of Mardi Gras

The Gulf Coast Carnival Association is hosting its annual 1 Mile Fun Run & 5K Run for the Beads in downtown Biloxi on Saturday, February 6 from 8 a.m. – noon. For additional information, please email 5krun@msgcca.org

Alpaca llama encounters

Come meet the beautiful llamas and alpacas at Heavenly Grace Farm on Sunday, February 7 at 3 PM. Tour the stud pen and maternity ward. Hand feed the animals. Take pictures in kissing booth. Tour lasts about an hour $20 per person, kids under 5 free. Tours also available February 14.

Weekend of sweethearts

The Weekend of Sweethearts, Stars & S’more will be hosted at the INFINITY Science Center in Pearlington on Friday, February 12 and Saturday, February 13. Bring your family to a fun evening under the stars.

Chinese New Year

Happy Chinese New Year! It’s the Year of the Ox! Come celebrate at celebrate at Lynn Meadows from 10 AM – 6 PM and make your own fire breathing dragon, or be a part of making our giant dragon in the front of the museum.

Activities included with museum admission.


MONDAY, FEBRUARY 15

Calling all pint size revelers. Get into the Mardi Gras spirit and paint your very own Mardi Gras canvas at Lynn Meadows from 10:30 AM – Noon! Paint a festive Mardi Gras mask design on an 8×10 canvas and snack on King Cake. Supplies provided. 

Great for ages 6 and up! Child must be accompanied by a paid adult. Limited spots available. Advance preregistration is required.

Lynn Meadows will be open Monday, February 15 and Tuesday, February 16.


WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 17

Celebrate Black History Month with a special storytime at Lynn Meadows every Wednesday in February at 3:30 PM!

Love your pet day at Lynn Meadows
All for love…it’s National “Love Your Pet Day!” at Lynn Meadows! Stop by anytime from 10 AM – noon and visit with special guests from the Humane Society of South Mississippi and some of their cuddly friends. 

Activities included with museum admission.

Christy is Co-Founder and Owner of Gulf Coast Moms Blog. She was born in Costa Rica and moved to the United States when she was 6 years old. She vividly remembers flying into New Orleans and knew, in the moments to come, her life would change forever. She grew up in Moss Point and moved to Hattiesburg to attend college at Southern Miss, where she received her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She met her love, Matthew, and they have enjoyed married life for 13 years. They live in Long Beach with their precious children, John Salem and Ann-Michael. Prior to co-founding Gulf Coast Moms Blog, she had a successful 10+ year career in higher education administration, where she developed and spear-headed campus-wide student initiatives and events. Christy is now spending her days as a stay-at-home mom and serves her community through several non-profit organizations. She enjoys making Costa Rican tamales, a fresh margarita from El Aguila, annual sister spa day, collecting random owl things (Hootie Hoo to my Chi Omega sisters), words of wisdom from Irish priests and pool days. She is passionate about connecting women and creating a supportive, nurturing community to empower moms.
