FILL THE BUS

Thank you to the Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport for sharing this information with The Gulf Coast Mom!

School’s out and summer’s upon us, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start preparing for the upcoming school year. Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport (JAG) has partnered with United Way of South Mississippi & Walmart to kick off their annual “Fill the Bus” campaign where their members will be out and about collecting school donations from July 8 - July 31 at your local Walmart in Pass Christian & Gulfport.  Last year JAG was able to distribute over 30,000 school supplies to their service area which includes schools in Long Beach, Gulfport, Pass Christian, and Harrison County.

Supplies collected over the month will be distributed to JAG’s service area which includes: Long Beach, Gulfport, Pass Christian, and Harrison County schools.

Collection boxes will also be available at the following locations:

  • Knight Nonprofit Center (Gulfport)

  • Davis Drugs (Pass Christian)

  • Century 21 J. Carter & Company (Gulfport)

  • Victory Behavioral Center (ocean Springs)

  • Floor Trader Gulfport (Gulfport)

  • Bayou View Elementary (Gulfport)

  • Bayou Bluff Tennis Club (Gulfport)

  • Studio E Dance Company (Long Beach)

If you can’t make it by Walmart or any of the drop off locations, but still want to donate… JAG has an Amazon wish list you can shop from directly without leaving the comfort of your home.To donate through Amazon please click the link HERE.

If you or your business is interested in donating monetarily please email our project chairs at fillthebusjag@gmail.com.

Their organization is so happy to be able to help prepare students through the numerous donations received from our community. Not only does this help to ensure students have the supplies they need, but also paves the way for success.
