GCM: Our Thoughts on the Election
Listen.
If there is one thing we can all agree on…it’s that politics are hard.
Sure, we all have our picks. We all have the candidate we support. We all can’t understand why the other side likes the other candidate. And the list goes on.
The reality?
We should be able to have our pick. We should be able to support the candidate we support without being absolutely ripped apart. You know? It’s even okay to be confused as to why someone else feels differently. We should be able to have our differences without letting those hot topics bring on so much hate.
To be honest, I want whoever wins to do an incredible job for our country. Whether it’s who “I want” or not, whether I agree with them or not — I pray for their success. It can be hard when there are two sides that so passionately disagree on things.
Social media makes it too easy to be mean.
But that doesn’t mean we have to be. 🤗
We just want to tell you that whether we agree with you or not — we love you, mama.
We can still be friends.
One of us can be a Republican.
One of us can be a Democrat.
We can be friends. We can treat each other with respect. We can love each other. We can be kind to one another. We can have civil conversations when needed. We can agree to disagree.
… and maybe let’s just agree that we don’t have try and convince the other to change her mind 😜
And regardless of which side of the stands you find yourself on, we think every mom can agree on one thing: that all debate moderators need to be moms. After all, we all know that we are the best at diffusing conflicts 🤪😜
