How to: Chili “Charcuterie” Board

I have a pretty big family and we are always looking for fun, easy ways to feed everyone under one roof! When my siblings and I get together at my parents’ house, there are typically anywhere from 15-25 of us! This last week, we decided to have a family dinner inspired by a “Chili Charcuterie” spread that my sister saw on pinterest!

Sometimes, it’s just fun to mix things up and have it all on display for everyone to grab their favorite things and go!

Here’s how we did it:

My sister in law made a giant pot of traditional chili : RECIPE HERE

My brothers got together outside to grill hotdogs and the rest of us set up the toppings and sides!

We used a large granite butcher block for ours, but any table or board will work.
Ahead of time, we prepped and baked three different types of cornbread and chopped veggies.

On the final display, we had the cornbread selection, several different chips and crackers, cheeses, jalapenos, sour cream, and avocado. We also added sides like olives, pickles, baby carrots, cucumbers, bell peppers, and dips for a pre-dinner snack.

Some made bowls of chili topped with everything we had and others opted for chili-cheese dogs or nacho style chili and chips. There was something for everyone!

It was a huge hit and we will definitely be doing this again. Not only is a great idea for a simple, cost effective family dinner, but it would also be great for hosting a party, get together, dinner night, or just having friends over!

Enjoy!
