Who has the  Baby?

A king cake will absolutely bring smiles to the class, but to make the experience extra special send in a book or surprise for the student who gets the baby. One festive Title is “MiMi’s First Mardi Gras”by Alice Couvillon and Elizabeth Moore. A Mardi Gras throw from a parade would make another great prize for the student with the baby. Make the teacher smile by pre-slicing the king cake to cut down on the mess.

Moonpies

Sam’s Club usually carries cases of moonpies during the carnival season. Moonpies make a festive treat for the class. For additional fun, attach the individually wrapped moonpie to a Mardi Gras bead using clear tape.

Jello Fruit Cup Love Bugs

How sweet are these love bugs, but the memories you can create while making these with your little valentine will be even sweeter. Try glue dots for easy application on the fruit cup.

Sweet Kabob

Let snacking be an experience by sending in sweet treats and kabob skewers. Students can create their own personalized sweet kabob in the classroom. A few options for the kabobs: two-bite brownies, mini cookie sandwiches, big marshmallows (so many fun flavors available), strawberries, rice crispy treats, grapes The “freshness guaranteed” brand located in the bakery section of Walmart has great affordable options. If sending fruit to add to the kabobs pre-washing the fruit would help the teacher out.
