Renaissance Festival at Hattiesburg Zoo - HEAR YE, HEAR YE! The 9th annual Renaissance Fest has been scheduled for February 22nd and 23rd at the Hattiesburg Zoo.. The cost for Renaissance Fest is $12 for adults and $10 for children and takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both days. New this year to Renaissance Fest is the MS Forge Council, which will be demonstrating their skills of the art of forging metals, and child-safe axe throwing, which can be found at the Ye Old Games area. Back by popular demand with the assistance of Oak Grove High School is the archery station. Several of the zoo’s ambassador animals will be encountered around the zoo with their keepers so that guests can get an up close and personal view along with having the opportunity to ask questions about each animal in their natural environment.  Tickets for Renaissance Fest are sold at the gate, and annual passes do apply. Attraction tickets (Carousel and High Adventures Ropes Course) are sold separately. Renaissance Fest is brought to you by the Hattiesburg Zoo and Cerroneth. Guests are encouraged to wear Renaissance-period costumes. No real weapons are allowed at the Hattiesburg Zoo.
