Amanda Sterling

A true local super-mom, Amanda wears many hats! We are so excited to feature her this week for our Mom Feature Friday! Take it away, Amanda! ⬇️

“I am a Mississippi Gulf Coast native and was born and raised in Gulfport. I’m an alumni of Gulfport High School and proud to be raising my two children as Admirals!

My husband, Beau, and I will be married for 19 years in November. We have two amazing children that keep us busy. Our daughter, Mackenzie is 16 and our son, Tanner is 13. It is a true joy to watching them grow up and being a mother is the greatest gift I could receive.

I’m a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant at Woman’s Clinic in Gulfport. I take care of women throughout the lifespan. I have been in healthcare for over 20 years and have worked in various areas, with a primary focus of maternal-child health. Areas of experience include labor & delivery, postpartum, gynecology, newborn nursery, pediatrics, lactation, and maternal-fetal medicine. I enjoy serving the women and children in my community. I am the President of South Mississippi Breastfeeding Coalition, Social Welfare Chair of Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport, and volunteer at the Women’s Resource Center in Gulfport. Additionally, I am on the worship team and a leader with Embrace Grace Ministry at New Life Family Church in Biloxi.”

When asked to share one piece of advice to all the mamas out there, this is what she said:

“You know the old saying “Babies don’t keep”? Well, it’s true! In the blink of an eye our babies grow up. Take the trip, make the memories, give them one-on-one time, enjoy each stage, and take ALL the pictures!”
