Brittany Weidlich

This week’s Feature Friday goes out to @brittanyweidlich! You may recognize her name from her amazing blogs on gulf coast mom and we are honored to have her on the team!

“I am a girl momma to our 3 daughters, and married to my husband for maybe 12ish years now. I’m terrible at remembering things like anniversaries or birthdays. My husband, Steven, played hockey for the Surge hockey team, which is how we met. {and at the time I didn’t even know we had a local hockey team.}

Having lived on the Gulf Coast since I was four years old, this is the only place I call home. While I did move to my husband’s hometown in Alberta, Canada for a few years, the coast called me back. I’m a teacher by trade, but when our third daughter arrived in 2019 I decided to stay home with our girls & homeschool. This is something I never thought I’d do and it turned into something really fun! I also thought we’d never step out of homeschooling, but here we are again- changing things up and giving public school a go next year.

I am one of those moms who is consumed with their children & I absolutely love it! I know this season will go by fast. Other than sharing about all things mom life, kids & homeschooling you can usually find me talking about nonconventional things like reducing the toxins in your home, my favorite recipes, sourdough & other things most would prefer if I didn’t say on social media

If you have kiddos that play ball, then you may see me out there cheering on our girls as I’m giving softball coach a try for the first time ever. {Just don’t judge me if you see me messing up out there. Maybe pray for me.} ha!

Our girls have been playing ball for a few years and after trying a different league recently, I realized how much potential Biloxi youth softball could have. I am all about jumping in to work towards bettering things in little ways that I can that help our girls and the children on the Gulf Coast. As a new board member with Biloxi youth softball I am super excited about what is to come!”

When we asked Brittany for advice, here’s what she had to say:

“If there is anything I’ve learned as a momma to 3 daughters in just these past 9 years it is to always trust your gut, and just go with it. Our mother tuition is there for a reason and it’s easy to let doubt sink in. You are a mother. You have a purpose. Trust your gut. It’s never wrong.”

We couldn’t agree more! Thank you for sharing with us, Brittany!!
