Pam Pannell
We are so excited to introduce you to Pam Pannell as our Mom Feature Friday! You make recognize Pam from Huntington Learning Center in Gulfport ! Pam is an amazing mama! Get to know her here! ⬇️ ⬇️
“Hi everyone, I’m Pam. My husband Walt and I have been married for 20 years. I am from the Coast, and Walt is from Columbus. We met at Mississippi State and love to visit Starkville! Go Dawgs! We have three children: Mary Porter (15) and Marley (13) who attend St. Patrick and Holden (11) who attends St. James. We are members of St. James Catholic Church. We spend a lot of our time watching our children do what they love at dance competitions, football games, baseball tournaments, and basketball games.
I was born and raised on the MS Gulf Coast and have so many wonderful memories growing up here. I am happy to raise my children and make memories with them here, too! In the past, I have served as President and Vice President of Social Welfare of the Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport, and I recently had the honor to serve as a Make a Wish Society Gulf Coast Honoree. If it's something to help the children/youth along the Gulf Coast, I'm here for it! I also enjoy my Pilates classes at Reform!
Most of my time that isn't dedicated to our family and church is poured into education. That's what I love! Following a career in public/private education since 2002, I have recently acquired Huntington Learning Center in Gulfport where we provide tutoring services and test prep to students of all ages. My passion for education and my experience fuel my new endeavor. Every minute is well spent, and I am so excited to see how many students we can help thrive both in center and through public and school partnerships.”
What is one piece of advice you'd like to share with the moms out there?
My advice to moms is to spend your time wisely and steer clear of comparisons. Yes, time is a thief, but so is comparison. Try to be the best person you can be, raise your children to do the same, and tune out the noise of things that don't allow you to fulfill your mission and fuel your passion. Pray with your children, praise your children, and discipline your children. Give yourself grace when you make a mistake.
Pam, we are so thankful for all that you do for our kids!
