This mama is one you need to get to know if you don’t already. She’s a walking example of facing adversity HEAD ON and with such grace, and we are so grateful to know her!

To give you a little more insight into Tori Bishop, we’ll simply let her tell the story:

“Originally, I am from Pensacola, Florida, but in 1999 I moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast to begin a 14 year career with Cable One — now known as Sparklight. In 2009, I got married and over the years our family grew to include four beautiful children: Daylan 20, Mahogany 13, Harper 11, and Kennedy 8. I am an Advertising Manager for Lamar Airports. When you walk through the airport and see signs or electronic ads, that's me! I also own an event planning company, Outlier Creative Productions. I pretty much love anything that involves being creative and I have a passion for fashion!

In 2015, I was accepted into Leadership Gulf Coast through the Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce, where I had the pleasure of meeting my dear friend Christy Elias, one of the founders of what's now Gulf Coast Mom. We really hit it off and alongside Kerri Paul, we rode the highs and lows of business, weathering the storm of Covid and hosting some pretty epic events. Our lives changed, Christy opened an amazing dance studio, Kerri added a second location of Brick and Spoon, and I went through a divorce. We came to the harsh reality that our time with GCM had run its course.

Thankfully, our prayers were answered when we found new owners to take the reins, and we are so proud of all that is happening at GCM! Now, I'm navigating life as a divorced mom of four, and on top of my work commitments, I serve as an Associate Minister at First Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Jeramie Turner.”

In her free time you'll catch her buried in a good book, traveling, eating at a new restaurant, and yes, indulging in her love for fashion!

When asked to share a piece of advice to all the mamas out there, she said:

“Make yourself a priority. We wear many hats, wife, mother, business woman, sister, daughter, friend, etc. We give, give, and give, It's easy to lose yourself and you must be intentional about making sure you are not just existing but fully living!”

She said she takes time out for herself everyday, and that's a non-negotiable for her!
